 Hi, my name is Sharon and I've been an IBCLC since 1992. I am a mom of four wonderful children, now adults, and six beautiful grandchildren.  My husband and I have been married 48 years this year.  I have been working with breastfeeding moms since 1979. Recently, I retired from working full time at a hospital where I created the Lactation Program in 1992 and the first Baby Café breastfeeding support group in the state of Virginia. In addition to many years of seeing breastfeeding couplets in the hospital setting, I started Abzz Mom (pronounced "A Busy Mom", created from my children's initials, Annie, Brittany, Zachary and Zeke) breast pump rental station and have been providing Medela Symphony breast pump rentals since 2006. After many requests, I have expanded and opened Inspiration Lactation Services. I believe that every mother and baby deserves access to quality lactation support. I strive to provide personalized care to each of our clients, taking into consideration their individual needs and circumstances.  I can't wait to meet you!
